Ten key stats for BPL matchday 9

34 - Swansea City have hit the target with 34 per cent of their shots; this is the lowest accuracy rating in the league. Their pointless return on the road is the worst record in the Premier League.

Aston Villa
West Brom

7 - There will be a large Irish contingent in the match, with the home side boasting Shay Given, Richard Dunne and Stephen Ireland whilst the visitors have Gareth McAuley, Shane Long, Chris Brunt and Simon Cox in their ranks.

Bolton Wanderers

545 - There may be no difference between points at the moment between these two sides in the Premier League, but Bolton have gained 545 since the competition’s introduction in 1992, 144 more than Sunderland’s 401.

Newcastle United
Wigan Athletic

0 - Newcastle United have never lost to Wigan Athletic in a league game at St James' Park. However, the two sides have met only five times on Tyneside.

Norwich City

4 - Liverpool have also won their last four league games against the Norwich City, scoring 11 goals. But the last time these two sides met in the top-flight was back in 2005, the year that the Merseysiders famously beat AC Milan and won the Champions League on penalties.

  Stoke City

67 - Stoke have the highest percentage of goals from set pieces in the league with 67%, while Arsenal have a lowly 8%.

0 - Everton have never lost to Fulham in a Premier League meeting between the two sides at Goodison Park. In fact, they have won all 10 clashes between the two teams on Merseyside.

Manchester United
   Manchester City

6 - Manchester United are undefeated in the last six Premier League derbies between the two sides, winning five in the process. The lone draw came in the form of a 0-0 result at Eastlands last season.

Blackburn Rovers
Tottenham Hotspur

14 - With their involvement in the Europa League this will be Spurs’ 14th game of the season, but Harry Redknapp has rested the majority of his first-team stars for the midweek matches which has helped them remain unbeaten in their last nine games in all competitions.

7 - Chelsea have gone seven games without keeping a clean sheet, yet find themselves in third place in the Premier League.
