Shinji Kagawa is arguably the best player for
Borussia Dortmund, a team who have won two Bundesliga titles since the
arrival of the Japanese. He came as a bargain at a price of just
£280,000 in 2010 and was worth every penny.
Kagawa is a
versatile offensive player with great technical skills, who tends to
float between the lines to get the ball and create chances for his
team-mates.
Sometimes he favours beauty over efficiency but he has still recorded 21 goals and 12 assists in 49 league matches for Dortmund.
With United desperately looking for talent in central midfield, Kagawa is a nice choice by Sir Alex Ferguson and his price-tag of £14m seems reasonable.
