After a nightmare run in Turin, the Italo-Brazilian revived his flagging career somewhat during his loan spell with Parma in the second half of last season. Despite this rebirth, the striker looks destined to leave Vinovo, with his stock at Juventus being worth very little.
Napoli and Lazio both showed early interest, and Maurizio Zamparini revealed a reacquainting with former club Palermo could be on the cards if he drops his wage demands, but it is Parma who remain favourites to snap him up in a bid to continue the relationship that saw the forward bag seven goals in 11 games after his loan in January.

A hectic 12 months, with his big Sampdoria fall-out and a Serie A title, has been followed by a period of uncertainty that is set to continue until the very end of the window. Despite proclamations from his agent that Cassano will not leave San Siro, there still appears to be mileage in talk of a move.
After Napoli's original interest, it is Fiorentina who hold a real torch for 'Fantantonio', but they may have to be extremely patient and bide their time. Although Cassano is open to the idea of fighting for his spot at Milan right now, in a few weeks time when the big decisions need to be made, he could well decide that game-time with the Viola or new chasers Genoa is more to his taste than the champions' bench.

The Cameroonian's 37 goals last season served to cover up what was a largely disappointing season for Inter, and his Coppa Italia final brace even assured they finished the season on a high. But his talk early this summer of a possible move away from San Siro in favour of the Premier League set tongues wagging about him immediate future.
With Manchester City naturally jumping straight into the race and Russia's Anzhi having shown significant interest, it has been left to president Massimo Moratti to insist that there is no way he will sell his star striker. For as long as the window is still open there remains a slim chance of a move, but slim is all it is.

Following a largely successful campaign for the Uruguayan, which saw him help Napoli to the Champions League and his national side to Copa America glory, Gargano's ability has been spotted by many potential suitors.
The most noticeable interest early in the window came from Villarreal, who were looking to bring the midfielder in as part of a deal which would have seen Borja Valero move to Naples. But now it appears to be Genoa who are most actively in pursuit, although the player's agent recently admitted his client has a 90 per cent chance of staying on with Napoli.

During a season in which Fiorentina took a long time to get going it was their main striker who suffered most from their inconsistency, and he could be set for an exit this summer.
Valencia had a €10 million [£8.7m] bid turned down earlier in the summer, leaving Marseille as the favourites for the Italy international's signature. Marseille coach Didier Deschamps visited him at his holiday home in the south of France to have a preliminary chat, but his club haven't made their move yet, prompting talk that Genoa may yet swoop in.

After serving as one of the three great cogs in Napoli's attacking wheel on the way to the Champions League, Hamsik has admitted that he could be better off elsewhere.
Milan seemed to be showing strong interest, with Hamsik regularly being speculated to be the champions' 'Mr X', but president Silvio Berlusconi and president Adriano Galliani both ruled out a move. However, the player himself said in June that a move to San Siro would benefit his career, in what was seen as a real 'come and get me' plea. Since then he has seemingly back-tracked, telling Napoli fans he can't wait to play Champions League football at the San Paolo.
MAICON | Inter, Right-back, 30 |

As exclusively revealed by Goal.com earlier this season, both club and player are ready for a parting of the ways after the Brazilian's star fell unceremoniously out of the sky in 2010-11. Gone are the days of the Nerazzurri demanding €30 million [£26m] for the right-back, as they look set to cut their losses.
The only issue now for both parties is finding a club with significant interest in splashing out on the 30-year-old full-back. Real Madrid's interest has run cold after being told Inter would want around €20m for the Brazilian, and no other side with the resources to spend such a fee has stepped into the race, making it increasingly likely that Maicon will have to force his way into Gian Piero Gasperini's 3-4-3 system.
CLAUDIO MARCHISIO | Juventus, Midfielder, 25 |

With Antonio Conte's first choice midfield looking less and less likely to house the Italy international, a move for the sake of his career as a first-team protagonist is not impossible, despite having signed a new five-year deal earlier this summer.
Roma have enquired about taking on Marchisio, but the fact he wasn't used as part of the Mirko Vucinic deal suggests they may have lost interest, leaving Milan to consider how serious an interest they may have in him. If he were to switch, it may well happen late in the day as his Juve heart will mean him refusing to give up on the club just yet, but the dawning of reality could result in a transfer later in the window.

After the heaven of 2009-10 came the personal hell of 2010-11 for Diego Milito as fitness and form deserted him in equal measure, to leave him playing second fiddle to Giampaolo Pazzini by the end of the season.
After links with Genoa, Tottenham and Real Madrid came the announcement of Gian Piero Gasperini as the new Inter coach, leading some to speculate that his old boss' introduction would see 'Il Principe' given one last crack at San Siro in a 3-4-3 system. In reality, he still appears to be only on the fringes of Gasperini's first-team plans, meaning he may well take kindly to the interest shown by Napoli, former club Genoa, or his more recent suitors Galatasaray.

Fiorentina's slow start to 2010-11 rendered the campaign something of a blow-out and has proved the straw that broke the camel's back for club skipper Montolivo, who has announced that he is now looking to leave Tuscany in a bid to make the next step in his career.
He appears likely to head in the direction of Milan, with Inter having dropped off the Italy international's radar of late. AC Milan have made no secret of their intention to bring in another high-profile midfielder, and with time running out in the window and other targets having committed to their clubs Montolivo remains their most viable option. Fiorentina may well look to bring in Antonio Cassano as part of a deal.

After his timely addition to the ranks in Inter's treble season, Pandev failed to prove himself as a long-term top-level forward in the 2011-12 campaign and will likely be a sacrificial lamb as the Nerazzurri shake things up at San Siro.
His late winner at Bayern Munich in March proved at least that he can be of some use in the Champions League, and this helped to bring attention from Napoli, who twice made approaches. The biggest sticking point was the Macedonian's salary demands, and it is Genoa who have jumped to the front of the queue in the past week. However, Pandev has shown a desire to fight for a spot with the world champions rather than be a makeweight in Inter's move for Rodrigo Palacio.

The one thing we've learned this summer is not to take Maurizio Zamaprini's words too seriously from one day to the next. With Pastore's spell at Palermo having reached its natural conclusion, the club president set about trying to spark an auction for his playmaker.
With interest from Barcelona having faded, it seemed he could stay in the peninsula. But when Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain entered the race things got serious, with Zamparini announcing he'd accepted a €43m bid [£37.5m]. The Argentine playmaker is now expected in Paris in the coming days to sign on as the latest player to join Leonardo's French revolution.

One of the biggest casualties of Sampdoria's slump was the Italy under-21 international. Amid a group of experienced players failing to pull the club out of a stupor, the energetic midfielder saw his form suffer badly, particularly as both Domenico Di Carlo and Alberto Cavasin decided to select Fernando Tissone ahead of him on occasion.
Inter seemed set to make a move this summer, with early interest from Milan also having alerted the former Sassuolo man. The Nerazzurri have been long-time admirers, but having not yet made their move, Juventus may well act on the words of Poli's agent, Carlo Pallavicino, who announced in the spring that his client "dreams of playing for a big club" by taking him to Turin if Claudio Marchisio moves on.
DAVIDE SANTON | Inter, Left-back, 20 |
Read more on Santon |

In January 2009 Santon broke into the Inter first-team with such aplomb that he was becoming known as 'the next Maldini', but just 24 months later he was being loaned to struggling Cesena. After 11 largely unconvincing appearances in the east of Italy he is back at San Siro, but the Nerazzurri are looking to find him another short-term deal.
Udinese came sniffing around even before last season had ended, but they have shown few signs of serious interest since then, and in June it was claimed that Inter had been trying to palm the Italy international off on Roma. However, with Jose Angel having taken up the free spot at the Olimpico, Santon has said he wants to redeem himself at San Siro, and Yuto Nagatomo's recent injury could see him being kept on as cover until January at least.
WESLEY SNEIJDER | Inter, Attacker, 26 |

After catapulting the Nerazzurri to an unprecedented treble in 2010, last season he was blighted by injury, illness and lethargy as his ability to dictate a result was evidenced less often than in his first term in Lombardy. Now faced with the probability of being played out of position by new Inter boss Gian Piero Gasperini, it seems the Dutchman is likely to move on.
There was much talk about his suitability to the style of play employed by Manchester United long before they showed concrete interest, and a move to the Premier League champions appears to be a natural next step. Neighbours City also have a liking for the star No. 10 but Sneijder seemingly has eyes only for United, and despite Sir Alex Ferguson having announced that his club's spending may have come to an end, the two clubs have agreed a €35m [£30.5m] deal in principle.

In his fifth season in the peninsula Vargas suffered from niggling injuries more than at any other time with either Catania or Fiorentina, and with the Viola struggling in his absence - and that of Stevan Jovetic - he could well seek a fresh start.
While Inter have long been linked with a move for the Peruvian, Juventus could well make an approach in light of their struggles to nail down a left-sided winger. There's still a good chance he could be persuaded to stay on, but any concrete move from Juvenus will likely see the Peruvian packing his bags and waving goodbye to Florence.
