Bremen claim the most unwanted Bundesliga record
Werder Bremen scooped the record that nobody wants by becoming the
first side to fail to register a shot in 90 minutes of Bundesliga
football since records began.
German champions Bayern Munich hammered Bremen 6-0 having more than
70 per cent possession and ten corners without a single one in reply
from their opposition.
Captain Philip Lahm played in his new adopted midfield role under Pep
Guardiola and chipped in with a brace in a game that was 4-0 at
half-time.
The stat includes blocked shots too, in what must have been the most
depressing game for Bremen fans, their manager and their lone striker,
former Wigan man Franco Di Santo.
