Arsenal will face Championship side Wigan Athletic in the semifinals of the FA Cup.
The other last-four clash sees League One Sheffield United take on Hull
City - with both matches to take place at Wembley Stadium on the
weekend of April 12/13.
Arsenal defeated Everton 4-1
at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, and they will now be hot favourites to
win their first trophy since 2005 after Wigan secured a shock 2-1 win
away at Man City.
Goals from Mesut Ozil, Mikel Arteta and Olivier Giroud (two) ensured
Arsene Wenger's side beat Everton, ahead of Tuesday's meeting with
Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
The last time the Gunners lifted silverware was in the FA Cup, when
they beat Manchester United on penalties at Cardiff's Millennium
Stadium. They have never won at the new Wembley.
Wigan beat City 2-1 at the Etihad, with a Jordi Gomez penalty and a
second from James Perch putting Uwe Rosler's team in control. Samir
Nasri pulled a goal back but City could not force a replay and their
dreams of the quadruple are now over.
Hull overcame Premier League side Sunderland 3-0 on Sunday, after Sheffield United saw off Charlton Athletic 2-0.
In beating Charlton, the Blades became the first club from the third
tier to reach the semifinals of the competition since Wycombe in 2001.
Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough was a losing finalist at Wembley
in the 1991 FA Cup as a player with Nottingham Forest and he will be
aiming to take his side all the way to the showpiece, with a Yorkshire
team guaranteed a place thanks to Sunday's draw.
